Kathmandu, Nepal’s leading and diversified business conglomerate Padma Jyoti Group has announced a strengthened collaboration with Rich’s India, reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing Nepal’s foodservice and culinary ecosystem. While Rich’s has been present in Nepal for over two decades, the renewed partnership marks a more strategic phase focused on deeper customer engagement, chef enablement, and introducing global culinary trends tailored to the local market.
Founded in 1945, Rich’s is a global family-owned food company with more than 80 years of heritage worldwide and over 30 years of presence in India. Widely recognized as a pioneer in non-dairy whipped toppings, the company has played a key role in shaping modern bakery, dessert, and foodservice applications through innovation, quality, and long-term partnerships.
The strengthened collaboration goes beyond traditional distribution. Both organizations will work to enhance customer experience through stronger chef engagement, hands-on technical training, and structured knowledge sharing. The initiative aims to bring Rich’s global expertise and product application know-how closer to chefs, bakers, and foodservice operators across Nepal, enabling them to adopt global trends, improve consistency, and elevate menu innovation.
Padma Jyoti Group will support the initiative with its strong infrastructure, established distribution network, and deep understanding of the Nepalese market. The collaboration is designed to serve modern retail, bakery, and hospitality segments with not only high-quality products but also technical guidance, live demonstrations, and ongoing support to ensure long-term value creation.
The group entered the FMCG sector in 2007 through Sun International Incorporated Pvt. Ltd., which has since built a strong presence in ice creams and frozen desserts supported by an expanding nationwide distribution footprint. The company is backed by a trained team with extensive hospitality and retail experience, enabling effective brand building and on-ground execution.
Under the leadership of chairman Saurabh Jyoti, Padma Jyoti Group has focused on introducing innovative food solutions that bring global gourmet experiences closer to Nepalese consumers and align with evolving lifestyles and tastes.
Commenting on the collaboration, Pankaj Chaturvedi, Managing Director – Rich’s India, MENA and Turkey, said the partnership is built on a shared vision of elevating culinary standards through innovation, expertise, and strong local partnerships. By combining Rich’s global culinary capabilities with Padma Jyoti Group’s market understanding and execution strength, he noted, the collaboration aims to inspire creativity, enhance consistency, and support the continued growth of Nepal’s evolving foodservice ecosystem.
The strengthened collaboration marks a significant step forward in Nepal’s culinary landscape, bringing together global expertise and local strengths to deliver superior products, deeper technical knowledge, and enriched food experiences across the country.
